MS Students Participate in Character Challenge

Students holding a tarp during challengeTamarac Middle School students participated in the annual Specials Team event facilitated by Lisa Hoyt, Brad Hoyt and Josh Pulito of the Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center. The September (trustworthiness) character challenge requires students to work as a team to problem-solve and think creatively.

Students were broken into teams and rotated through different stations set up in the multi-purpose gym. Each station had a card stating the challenge the team must complete and a set of props. Each team had to work together to problem solve each task. Teams were encouraged to get creative to come up with solutions. The goal of the day was not about how well the students accomplished each challenge, but rather how well they worked as a team to solve the problem.
