The Olympics of the Visual Arts Club competed at the statewide Olympics of the Visual Arts Competition in Saratoga Springs. Two teams placed at the high school level. The Painting Group won 1st place and the Drawing Group won 2nd place in their respective categories. The work will be on display at the District-wide Art Show on May 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Congratulations to all our students!

The Olympics of the Visual Arts (OVA) is an extracurricular program for students across New York State. The OVA presents a series of problems that require utilizing historical references, brainstorming, problem solving, and creative solutions. There are two forms of problem solving. One is a long-term problem that will require research, planning, and creativity, and is completed prior to the State Competition. The other form of problem will be a short-term or spontaneous solution and is done onsite during the State Competition. See more photos from the competition here.
