Teacher Inducted into SUNY Oneonta Athletic Hall of Fame

Sanada at ceremony with studentsCongratulations to Tamarac Elementary teacher and Girls Varsity Soccer coach Sanada Bailey who was inducted into the SUNY Oneonta Athletic Hall of Fame for soccer this past weekend.

In addition to Bailey’s friends and family, some of the student athletes from the Tamarac soccer team made the trip to Oneonta for the induction ceremony.

Bailey was a four-year starter for the women’s soccer team and captain of the 2003 squad that captured the college’s only NCAA Division III National Championship to date in a team sport. She scored the game-winning goal just 2:13 into the first overtime period to end the game.

Bailey earned All-American honors twice and was a three-time AllSUNYAC selection including being a first team player during her final two seasons. The Red Dragons won four conference titles and made four appearances in the NCAA tournament.  She is seventh in both career goals (31) and points (83) and is currently fifth all-time in assists (21). Congratulations!
