After graduating from Tamarac (Class of 2010), I received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from The College of Saint Rose with a focus in Vocal Music. Upon graduating, I decided to return to The College of Saint Rose to pursue a Master’s Degree in Co-Teaching in Adolescent Special Education.
What is your background like – previous jobs?
During my last semester of my undergraduate degree at The College of Saint Rose, I student taught in both the Coxsackie Athens and Albany City School districts. After graduating, I devoted a year of service to the Siena VISTA AmeriCorps Program as a Volunteer Coordinator at a local non-profit. After my year of service, I decided to return to college to work on my Master’s Degree at The College of Saint Rose. While attending graduate school, I taught as a substitute at Tamarac, and other schools throughout the Capital Region.
Tell Us About Your Family?
I am the oldest son in my family. I have two sisters and one brother (all graduates of Tamarac). My oldest sister is a pediatrician in Boston, M.A. My second oldest sister works in Boston M.A. in the health care field. My brother attends Hudson Valley Community College. My mother is a nurse at Albany Medical Center and my father is a retired State Education employee.
What Are Your Interests Outside Of School?
I enjoy attending concerts and musicals. I spend a lot of time watching concerts at Tanglewood (Lenox, MA), and seeing musicals at Park Playhouse (Albany, N.Y.) or Proctors (Schenectady, N.Y.). I also like watching superhero movies and television shows. Cooking and Baking are also passions of mine.
