Improv Workshop Brings Character Education Alive

Students perform skits in front of MS students in the auditoriumImprov comedians from the Mop & Bucket Company held workshops for eighth grade students to develop skits portraying “character education situations.” The workshop surrounded the character education theme for January, respect. Students participated in games and activities in which they needed to respect their classmates, as well as themselves. Each class learned a “performance game” and demonstrated their newly learned improv skills to the sixth and seventh grade classes at an assembly. It was a creative and fun way to teach about respect and a unique way to ask students to step outside of their comfort zone, have fun and try something new. See more photos here.
