Tamarac High School Students Tour Nation’s Capital

Student trip to DCThey had to wait four years but 14 National Honor Society students will finally get their chance to visit the U.S. Capitol and other Washington, D.C. sites this weekend. Social Studies teacher Jordan Carroll explained students were supposed to visit Washington, D.C. in 8th grade but a snow storm canceled the trip. With the bus credit about to expire, students and teacher chaperones set off on Friday, Feb. 1 for the nation’s capital. “These are students with the highest grades and this is kind of a reward for all their outstanding work in and outside the classroom,” said Ms. Carroll.
