Last month, Tamarac Secondary School students participated in a Songwriting Workshop with Tamarac Alumni Jacob Shipley. All of the students who participated have been working on writing their own music and brought a song they are currently working on to Jacob for advice. The students had a wonderful experience with Jacob and we are so grateful to him for taking the time to work with them!
Since graduating Tamarac, Jacob has toured the United States as John Newton in the First National Tour of Amazing Grace: The Musical and been featured in multiple productions of Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire. He has helped develop new plays and musicals with the WP Theatre, Lincoln Center Education, Our Establishment LLC, and in plenty of New York City apartments.
