The Tamarac Youth Activation Committee (YAC) will be participating in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge on Saturday, November 13th. The YAC is a high school club consisting of students with and without intellectual disabilities who plan activities that promote and advocate for respect, inclusion, and acceptance for all people. YACs work to create a more socially inclusive school climate.
Students have raised $1500 which is halfway to their targeted goal of $3000. All team donations not only help our plungers participate but also help support New York Special Olympics.
