Dear Secondary School Families:
Hello December! A reminder to our families that next Friday, 12/10 is the interim point for the second marking period. Interim reports will be available to parents/guardians on 12/17. Character education serves as the backbone for citizenship and success in school and life. I am very pleased to be able to share with you the students nominated by teachers and counselors for first quarter quarterly awards. Our quarterly awards program enables us to recognize students who demonstrate both strong effort and outstanding character in school. Our five pillars of character are respectful, responsible, honesty, social intelligence, and citizenship. Each middle school and high school student nominated is receiving a certificate of recognition and a coupon for Stewart’s ice cream or a voucher to a local establishment. Thank you to our PTSA and Booster Club for sponsoring the awards and facilitating this great partnership with businesses in our community!
Bengal Awards: Congratulations to 7th grader Liam Harriman for earning a Bengal Award for being courteous and respectful towards his classmates. He demonstrated great social intelligence and subsequently had his name pulled in our monthly character drawing. Congratulations to Mr. Harriman and all of our Bengal Award recipients for the month of November!

Technology/Social Media Presentations: Thank you to Trooper Steve Rothwein for taking the time to meet with students right before the holiday break. He had a very powerful message for our students about Internet safety and digital citizenship. We hope to have him back again soon!
