Dear Secondary School Families:

Tonight is the first of two performances of Cinderella!  I recently learned that in the world of theater saying “good luck” is actually considered to be bad luck. There is a more apropos phrase that is used -  to the cast and crew who have worked so hard “break a leg!” Looking ahead on the calendar a reminder that the third quarter will be ending next Friday. The last week of the marking period is an important time for students to meet with their teachers and catch up on any missing instruction and/or assignments. I also want to remind families that part I of 3-8 English Language Arts assessment will be administered on Tuesday and part II on Wednesday. We want to encourage students to get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and just do their best. Thank you for your continued support.

Graduation Update: Graduation is scheduled for 10:00 am on Friday, June 24. The ceremony will be outside on the football field. Each student will receive six tickets for family and friends to attend. Due to a construction project, our auditorium will be unavailable in the event of inclement weather. Families should pencil in Saturday, June 25 at 10:00 am just in case we are unable to hold an outdoor ceremony. We will notify families as soon as possible the week of the ceremony if this change were to be made.

Earth Day Contest: The Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park is offering another year of its Earth Day Essay Contest. This year’s theme: Invest in Our Planet!
