Brunswick CSD School Start Dates 2020-2021
Brunswick CSD School Start Dates 2020-2021
Brunswick Central School District
Monday, August 17, 2020

Good Morning, Brunswick CSD Families:

Below please find our official start dates for the 2020-2021 Academic Year! Please note that these start dates will also apply to our students who are opting into a fully-remote program. The District will be sending out our Formal Request Form for our remote learning programs this week (so please keep an eye out in your email and on our website!).

First Day of School for 1st - 12th Grades: Friday, September 11, 2020

  • REMINDER: Grades 1-6 are fully in-person (unless your child has opted into a fully-remote program). Grades 7-12 are on an ABC rotation for in-person instruction.
  • On A days, 7th & 8th grade students are in school for in-person instruction, while 9-12th grade students will be working online for remote instruction.
  • On B Days, 9th & 10th grade students are in school for in-person instruction, while 7-8th and 11-12th grade students will be working online for remote instruction.
  • On C Days, 11th & 12th grade students are in school for in-person instruction, while 7-10th grade students will be working online for remote instruction.
  • Our first day of school (September 11, 2020) will be an A day. We have updated our events calendar for the first marking period, noting which days are in-person for which group of students. This schedule is listed on the front page of our website under "Events." You can also find the schedule here: https://www.brunswickcsd.org/o/bcsd/events

First Day of School for Kindergarten: Monday, September 14, 2020

  • After thoughtful discussion, our kindergarten team recognized that starting on Friday would make it difficult for the students to only be at school for one day and then have to transition back in after the weekend. Starting on Monday will give our students a full week to get acclimated into kindergarten and adjusted to their schedules!

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding our start dates, please reach out to your building principal. We also have all of our reopening resources available to our students, staff, and families as we transition into this new year, including our reopening plan, on our website: https://www.brunswickcsd.org/o/bcsd/page/reopening-information-covid-19-resource-center

Thank you!
