Twenty one Tamarac students recently attended the Olympics of the Visual Art Competition (43rd year) hosted by NYSATA (New York State Art Teachers Association) held at the Saratoga Civic Center on April 1, 2025.
NYSATA annually hosts a creative problem-solving event in which student teams of one or more enter a long-term design solution in one of eight categories and participate in an on-demand design prompt. Teams present a portfolio along with their entry to showcase the research, planning and iterations that led to the final design. This friendly and spirited competition among students across the state is a wonderful way for students to interact with other student artists and together celebrate creativity.

Talk about dedication! Tamarac Junior, Charles LaBatt, recently took on the impressive challenge of preparing for two musical productions simultaneously. While starring in Tamarac's "Grease," Charles also accepted a role in Lansingburgh's Drama Club production of "Into the Woods." Let's give Charles our support! You can catch him in "Into the Woods" next weekend, April 4th and 5th.
