ZUMBA is back!

HVCC’s Summer 2025 College in the High School registration is officially open! Again this year, the college is awarding full-tuition scholarships for up to eight credits to all students in our College in the High School sections for Summer 2025. Izabella DeLorenzo and Emmaline Martin presented their capstone projects for the New Visions Pathways in Education program on Friday, March 28th at SUNY Albany. Their work focused on "Creating Change" projects to benefit their school communities.
Emmaline presented with other New Visions students on a Collaboration Closet (Districts represented in this project: Troy, Averill Park, Brunswick/Brittonkill). The project goal is to create a comfortable space where students can reach out for help to access sports equipment, prom dresses, professional clothing, and outerwear.
Izabella's group presented on Teacher and Student Wellness (Districts represented in this project: East Greenbush, Chatham, Coxsackie-Athens, Catskill, Brunswick/Brittonkill). The project goal is to implement health and wellness practices for students and teachers in our districts' elementary schools.
Emmaline and Izabella presented to an audience of school administrators and showed us that the future of future educators looks bright!

Talk about dedication! Tamarac Junior, Charles LaBatt, recently took on the impressive challenge of preparing for two musical productions simultaneously. While starring in Tamarac's "Grease," Charles also accepted a role in Lansingburgh's Drama Club production of "Into the Woods." Let's give Charles our support! You can catch him in "Into the Woods" next weekend, April 4th and 5th.

Congratulations to our 2025 Winter Sports Scholar Athletes!

Tomorrow, March 14th, is a non-instructional day for Tamarac students due to a Superintendent Conference Day/Staff Development.

Yesterday twenty-five Tamarac seniors attended their HVCC Orientation! Students learned how to look at requirements for their major, how to connect with their academic advisor, academic support on campus, career & transfer supports, student activities, and FERPA. They even met Butter the dog from Campus Safety.
Students who have not completed their financial aid forms should do that as soon as possible. HVCC has a great Financial Aid department that is willing to help! Students, pick up the phone and call to make an appointment to meet with your advisor soon. Good luck to all of you as you finish out your senior year!

Students, today is your last chance to buy Snowball Dance tickets! Make sure to get them during lunch.

If loving mac and cheese is wrong, we don’t want to be right. Look at the cheesy goodness in the high school cafeteria today!

Our science wing is getting a stellar makeover with these out of this world planets made by Mr. Seils and his students!
Look to the skies in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 13 into Friday, March 14, the Earth will pass between the sun and moon, resulting in a total lunar eclipse.

Our district will be conducting lockdown drills this morning. There will be additional law enforcement presence at the school for this purpose.
