Dear Secondary School Families:   


Spring is Near (Or Is It?)! Happy Groundhog Day! Prognosticating groundhog Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow when he was abruptly woken from his sleep this morning in Gobbler’s Knob Pennsylvania. In case you’re wondering, Phil’s accuracy is not nearly as good as Weatherman G - the groundhog has been accurate 40% of the time over the last 100 years. Bundle up!  

Quarter 2 Grades: Second quarter grades will be posted on the parent and student portals this afternoon. Please review your child’s current progress and reach out to your child’s teachers or counselor with any questions or concerns. 

Counseling Center: The Counseling Center is pleased to provide another session of Coffee with the Counselors.  If you would like to attend this event in person - RSVP here: https://forms.gle/CDM7VpypPCa5AnPa7 We are pleased to announce we will be LIVE streaming the event on the BCSD Events Youtube page with commenting on for questions or comments.

Tamarac Middle School Valentine’s Fun Day: Hosted by Tamarac’s SADD, Middle School students  need a permission slip from their parents/guardians signed BY February 12th. Tickets are $5 to the event.

Lost and Found: Since coming back from Christmas break, the Life Skills students have gathered many new clothing articles from the middle/high school and the elementary school. Please check out the Lost and Found website to see if your child's clothing is on there. We will get it back to them right away.

Art Presentation: This week our district art teachers met with 8th grade students to discuss the different opportunities to consider in the department when making their schedules for next year. 

January Bengal Awards: Congratulations to our January Bengal award recipients. Dillon Burt received a very special award for being a good citizen in our school community!

SouperBowl: The PTSA looks forward to continuing their tradition of feeding district faculty and staff on the Friday before SuperBowl Sunday. This year they will be providing a variety of soups and treats but they need your help. Please click here if you are able to provide your time or a physical donation.

Yearbook: Attention Class of 2024 students and parents/guardians. Don't miss out on the opportunity to have a personalized baby message in the yearbook.  Families can design their own 1/8 page of the yearbook on the Jostens website.  There are over twenty formats to choose from.  Your message can include a picture or even two pictures.  All messages cost $35.  Messages are being sold until early February but there are a limited number of spots.You can design your message at      jostensadservice.com/student
