New Principal

Dear Brunswick CSD Community,

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I announce the appointment of Ms. Paula M. Lanoue as the next Secondary Principal of the Tamarac Secondary School.

This appointment marks a meaningful homecoming for Ms. Lanoue, a proud 1996 graduate of Tamarac. Her return to Brunswick reflects not only a deep personal connection to our school community, but also a sincere desire to give back to the district that helped spark her lifelong passion for education.

Ms. Lanoue brings over two decades of experience in secondary education, school leadership, and student support. Most recently, she served as Assistant Principal at Hoosic Valley Central School District for the past four years, where she played a key role in daily operations, student services, and faculty evaluation. Her approach has been defined by strong, collaborative relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners—connections she views as essential to any school’s success.

Prior to her leadership role, she served as Hoosic Valley’s Dean of Students and Athletic Director, and for nearly two decades before that, she taught English to 9th and 12th grade students. Her broad experience has uniquely prepared her to lead with empathy, accountability, and a student-centered focus.

The selection process for this role was comprehensive and inclusive. It involved faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and students in a multi-stage interview process, informed by survey input from our school community. Reference checks confirmed what our panels observed: Ms. Lanoue is described as hardworking, dedicated, student-focused, and ready to take on this leadership role. She is known for her visibility, her professionalism, and her ability to meet challenges with determination and grace.

Ms. Lanoue holds certifications in School Building and District Leadership, and she recently completed advanced studies for Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent certification. Her academic background, combined with her extensive experience, reflect a deep commitment to educational excellence and continuous growth.

A meet and greet event will be scheduled in the near future so that members of our community can personally welcome Ms. Lanoue and get to know her vision for our secondary school.

Please join me in giving a warm (and welcome back!) congratulations to Ms. Paula Lanoue. We look forward to the leadership, dedication, and heart she brings to the role.

Sincerely,
Angelina
