The Brunswick Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of veteran educational administrator Kristine Orr as the Interim Director of Special Education. In this role, Ms. Orr will oversee the district's special education programs, student support services, and individual education plans to ensure all students receive a tailored, high-quality educational experience.
Ms. Orr brings decades of educational leadership and administrative experience to the district. Most recently serving as Superintendent of Schools at South Glens Falls Central School District, her career in New York State public education spans roles as a classroom teacher, building-level administrator, and central office director overseeing curriculum and instruction.
Throughout her administrative career, Ms. Orr has maintained a strong commitment to student-centered learning, equity, and mental health initiatives. Her leadership has consistently focused on building collaborative partnerships among educators, families, and community resources to support student development.

As Interim Director, Ms. Orr will work closely with teachers, staff, families, and district leadership to uphold compliance standards, champion inclusive learning environments, and ensure continuous support for students with diverse learning needs.
