Congratulations to the middle school Academic Challenge Bowl Team on an amazing season. They finished second in our league with a 6-2 record and came in second place in the Albany area playoffs.

The Capital Region Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will be holding a 2026 Service Academy Information Night at RPI’s Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS) on Monday, May 18th, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM, doors open at 5:30 PM. Interested high school students, their parents, and school counselors/officials can register to attend the event and receive more information HERE: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/us-senator-gillibrands-capital-region-service-academy-night-2026-tickets-1987355618152?aff=oddtdtcreator The Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s 2025 Capital Region Service Academy Information Night event on May 18th will highlight unique opportunities available through the nation’s five service academies, as well as two local Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs and additional regional programs, which are designated as National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) and expect to have offerings through the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Cyber Service Academy Program. Event attendees will have the opportunity to hear from representatives of the following offices and institutions: The Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand The Office of U.S. Congressman Paul Tonko U.S. Military Academy U.S. Naval Academy U.S. Coast Guard Academy U.S. Merchant Marine Academy U.S. Air Force Academy SUNY Albany’s College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity If you are unable to attend the Capital Region’s Service Academy Night, we will be hosting similar events in our other regions.
