Looking forward to next week's District Wide Art Show!

Local first responders and members of Tamarac's SADD club will conduct a mock crash event at Tamarac High School on Friday, May 19th at 8:45 a.m. to remind students and parents about how making the right choice behind the wheel can protect themselves and others from dangerous driving behaviors.
Brunswick Brittonkill Central School District is using the event to remind parents/guardians about the importance of talking with their teens to reinforce teen driving laws, and to set their own family driving rules to protect them from being injured or killed in a crash. The mock crash will take place in the morning of Tamarac's junior and senior prom.
The mock crash uses real crashed vehicles set up on school grounds and student participants to act out roles as crash victims. Set up for the event will begin the day prior. The school’s juniors and seniors will watch the demonstration and learn how emergency responders conduct rescue efforts in real-time.
Elementary School Parents/Guardians: Please note this is taking place around morning drop off time but will take place in the far parking lot of the Secondary School.

Our SRO is currently working with administration and Rensselaer County to investigate. Thank you to all who have shared this information so we can investigate as quickly as possible.
