The 7th graders recently participated in a successful Penny Wars fundraiser! They raised a fantastic total of $1,051.69, which will be generously donated to Water for South Sudan. They read a book about the inspiring founder of the charity and the challenges they overcame. This combined effort not only raised funds for a vital cause but also fostered valuable learning and empathy among the students.
Ms. Frank's class won overall and participated in an 'Escape Room' activity. The students worked together to find the overall prize!

Our Work Based Learning (WBL) classroom’s Lost and Found will be boxing up any unclaimed items the week of December 16-20. Any unclaimed items will be donated to Unity House in Troy. If you or your child has lost an item, simply visit the district’s website front page and click on the link for Lost and Found - this includes the Elementary School, Secondary Middle and High School, and the bus garage. The WBL team will resume collecting Lost and Found items following the Holiday Break. Thank you!

We wanted to inform you that Tamarac Secondary School successfully conducted its second lockdown drill today, December 11th. We appreciate the cooperation of our students and staff during this exercise.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police for their support and participation in the drill.
We wanted to inform you about a minor accident that occurred outside of school near the road this morning. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. We want to express our sincere gratitude to the local police and first responders for their prompt response and assistance.
