French 4 and French 5 students recently completed a chapter book entitled Les Nuits Mysterieuses a Lyon. When surveyed, several of the students were dissatisfied with the ending of the book. Preferring an alternate ending and WRITING an alternate ending are two very different things. Two French 4 Independent Study students decided to tackle this problem. John Clinton and Carlos Kaskoun brainstormed several interesting alternate endings. However, Carlos took it a step further and began WRITING a new ending. This was no small task; it needed to be readable, in comprehensible French (level appropriate), and almost completely written (including dialogue) without the use of Google Translate (except for an odd word here or there). The NEW improved ending is 5 chapters long and will satisfy even the most discriminating of readers. FELICITATIONS (Congratulations) Carlos!
