SUNY Oneonta, Class of 2028(fun fact: Tamarac prepared him to graduate from Oneonta early)
Ethan Medved, of Waterford, NY, was one of 233 SUNY Oneonta students recognized for academic excellence during the 2025-2026 Susan Sutton Smith event on Tuesday, April 7. The Susan Sutton Smith awards are given each spring to first-year students, sophomores and juniors who have earned a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Senior Spotlight - Trevor Finkle!
Our First Alumni Spotlight is Frank DePalma Tamarac Class of 2024.
Frank was awarded one of four prestigious SUNY Chancellor's awards.

Business Administration A.S.
Frank DePalma is a Business Administration A.S. student who maintains a 4.0 GPA and demonstrates outstanding dedication through his academic success and active involvement on campus. He serves as vice president of the Investment Club and participates in many other student clubs and organizations, such as the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Frank also gives back as a peer mentor for the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and has been recognized with the EOP Career Development Scholarship. Despite overcoming personal challenges, he continues to serve as a role model for his peers and remains a valued member of the campus community.
