Supporting local. June Farms in West Sand Lake donated 100 copies of their new book, The Bear at June Farms, to elementary schools through an Instagram giveaway. Mrs. Willsie was the lucky Tamarac Elementary teacher to be chosen for our school! The book is available in her classroom for teachers to borrow and read to their students.
🎶Last month, the Tamarac Elementary Concert Choir performed for WMHT Music for the Holidays. The event features seasonal songs performed by local school and youth choirs. Tamarac's performance will air on WMHT several times throughout the month (listed below) and available via streaming. Be sure to check it out and get into the holiday spirit!

This is a reminder that on Friday November 8, 2024, we will conduct an emergency early release drill. All schools in New York State must complete an emergency early release drill, once per year, that requires schools to evacuate students and staff at least 15 minutes before their regular dismissal time. This drill helps prepare us in the case of an emergency that would require us to transport our entire district home or to another location prior to the end of the school day. For the secondary school, dismissal will be at 2 p.m. For the elementary school, all students taking the bus will be released/dismissed by 3:10 PM. We will start dismissal earlier for our aftercare and pick up students (around 3:00 PM).
