Tamarac Elementary School participated in a sock drive for the month of October to support an organization, Knock Knock Give a Sock. Knock Knock Give A Sock works to humanize the homeless one sock a time by bringing neighbors living in local homeless shelters and neighbors living in homes together. The organization raises awareness about who the homeless are in addition to providing them fresh socks; a much needed resource in many homeless shelters. Partnered with Joseph's House in Troy, our school delivered 467 pairs of socks for our local community outreach center.
Special thanks to Mrs. Willimott, Matt, Dublin and Rebecca for making the delivery.

We want to ensure our community is kept up to date and informed of all things Tamarac. Please complete this short survey to help determine ways we can communicate better with our families in the District.

'Tis the Season for some great Holiday Concerts from our Tamarac Music Department.

We hope your students are already in bed resting up for their day back tomorrow. If it's not too late, make sure their Chromebooks are getting a good charge, too! Tomorrow is an E day!
Dear Tamarac Family,
On behalf of the Brunswick Central School District, I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.
As we gather with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your support of our incredible school community.
May your Thanksgiving be filled with warmth and cherished moments filled with love and laughter.
Thank you for being a vital part of our school family and making our schools a special place.
With Gratitude,
Angelina Maloney

When the time comes and you don't get a notification, please make sure your students school has your most up to date contact information.

The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has designated November 6–10, 2023, to be National School Psychology Week (NSPW), with the theme “Let’s Grow Together.”
Brunswick Brittonkill CSD would like to take a moment to recognize our Tamarac Secondary School Psychologist Ms. AnnaMarie Bertrand and Tamarac Elementary School Psychologist Mrs. Jennifer Ellerbrock. Thank you for your dedication to our Bengals and their families.
School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help children and youth succeed socially, behaviorally, emotionally, and academically. They are also important members of school safety and crisis teams. As stated by Dr. Andrea Clyne, President of the National Association of School Psychologists, “School psychologists bring a rich and unique set of skills to their school communities. They are champions for children, families, and schools, working hard to apply their knowledge about mental health, learning, equity, and systems to address challenges that thwart progress.”

This is a reminder that on Thursday November 9, 2023, we will conduct an emergency early release drill. All schools in New York State must complete an emergency early release drill, once per year, that requires schools to evacuate students and staff at least 15 minutes before their regular dismissal time. This drill helps prepare us in the case of an emergency that would require us to transport our entire district home or to another location prior to the end of the school day.
For the secondary school, dismissal will be at 2 p.m. For the elementary school, all students taking the bus will be released/dismissed by 3:10 PM. We will start dismissal earlier for our aftercare and pick up students (around 3:00 PM).
A reminder that tomorrow, November 7th, is a staff development day and will be a half day of classes for students.
The fluffy cuteness keeps coming! Ruby came to visit Mrs. Quackenbush's class today!

Please note that due to an accident in front of school on Route 2, this may delay our bus runs for both secondary and elementary students. We will send updates as needed. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
If you are planning to attend this Friday's football game in Fonda, please know that there is a $6.00 dollar entrance fee and you can not pay cash at the gate. You must obtain your ticket by using GoFan: section2athletics.org or https//gofan.co/app/school/nysphsaall

Attendance matters. Do you know who to contact when your student will be out, late or leaving early?
