During executive-declared states of emergency, schools are not required to use their allotted emergency closing days, which means Brunswick CSD will close tomorrow without losing our remaining emergency closing day. We are pleased to announce that our District has enrolled with STOPit for students in grades 5-12. STOPit is an online reporting tool designed to deter and mitigate bullying, cyber abuse, and other inappropriate behaviors, consisting of an app and a back-end incident management system for school administrators.

Mrs. Roddy and Mrs. Hoffman's class designed catapults to launch Valentine candy! They brainstormed, wrote blueprints, built, and tested their catapults! In the end, the teams launched their catapults twice, and took their best measurement in the competition. The winning team launched their Valentine candy 640 centimeters!

The Life skills students have been busy gathering clothing from the elementary and middle/high school to post on the Lost and Found. In Mrs. Cipperly's science class, "scientists" were given a set of tools and a dry mixture to separate. They devised their own plans and carried them out, even identifying a fourth "mystery" material!

A reminder that tomorrow, Friday, January 27th is a half day for all students for a Staff Development day.
Please amend last message. Brunswick CSD will operate on a half day dismissal for both Elementary and Secondary buildings tomorrow, Wednesday, January 25. The Secondary building will dismiss at 10:32 a.m. The Elementary School will dismiss at 11:40 a.m.
Due to the early dismissal, the Algebra I Regents exam will move to Friday, January 27 at 8 am.
