Aftercare students were brought to the secondary multipurpose gym until the building was cleared by responders. A few weeks ago, 11 Tamarac choral students were chosen to perform in the New York American Choral Director's Association Summer Honor Choir, along with students from all over New York State. This is a prestigious honor and we are so proud of these students! They spent time out of their summer vacation rehearsing the music to prepare for the festival and two days rehearsing with the choir and finally performing in a concert for members of the New York State Music Association as well as family and friends. A huge thank you to the Friends of Music for providing the funding for our students to participate! The following Tamarac students performed:
Junior High Choir (Sunday, 8/14 concert) - Jade Black, Maddie Balistreri, Kai Cleary, Bridget Guiterrez, Charles LaBatt, Gianna Shea, Danu Treahy and Halley Williams
Elementary Choir (Tuesday, 8/16 concert) - Charlotte Anderson, Addison Devine and Lily Onorato
