Quick Shot of Dining
To the families of Tamarac Elementary School, We are into our second full week of school and things are going well. The weather is holding and we have had a number of really nice days to begin the school year. As things get smoother, we can address other issues. One of the important things that we need to inform you about is birthday parties within the school; we are able to celebrate birthdays this school year but parents are not able to send in any food/treats for any celebrations. The only food/treats that can be served in school this year have to come from the cafeteria. Mrs. Joy Wright, who heads the cafeterias and district food service, is happy to provide treats to your child's classroom for birthdays and other celebrations - you may have received a flyer from her last week with some of her offerings for classroom events. She can be reached at jwright@brunswickcsd.org or at (518) 279-4600 ext. 2208 if you have questions or wish to place an order. Although not a traditional way to celebrate your child's birthday, it is a wonderful compromise given the times, and helps us be able to celebrate the important times in your child's life. Sincerely, Rich Pogue
