Mrs. Hunter's and Mrs. Zakrzewski's classes made paper mache globes to conclude their world geography unit.
The eight graders celebrated 'Outsiders' Day yesterday. They recently finished the novel in ELA and are watching the film this week. Are you a Greaser or a Soc?
Mrs. Cipperly's 5th grade class collaborated with Mrs. McKenna and two of her Russian students, Tommy Kane and Noah Ellsbury, to work on a special holiday project. They brainstormed things they wish they could give to the world, and then created ornaments to represent their "gift". Many students wished for things such as world peace, ending hunger, and protecting endangered habitats.

The holiday season can quickly bring increased stress and anxiety, and handling these emotions and navigating this period can be challenging for both parents and children. We place high expectations on ourselves to create the perfect holiday memories and experiences for our families. Join us for this panel-style discussion where we will talk about common challenges parents and caregivers face during the holidays, stress youth and teens encounter during the holidays, and share some tips for maintaining good mental health through the holiday season.

As part of our Holiday's Around the World unit, 3rd graders learn about the Nutcracker Ballet. On Tuesday, they were treated to an assembly with ballerina Elizabeth Hite, instructor at Barbara’s School of the Dance. Elizabeth is currently also a dancer of the Nutcracker Tour with the Berkshire Ballet. Students were able to learn about the show, see some of the dances from the show, and got a ballet lesson from Elizabeth!
Working with law enforcement, both the elementary and secondary schools conducted their second required lockdown drill of the school year this morning.
