
Kids Care Club and Key Club are teaming up to collect donations for the holiday season! They will be collecting socks and calendars to give to nursing home residents at Van Rensselaer Manor. They are also collecting pet food, treats and toys to give to the Mohawk humane society. All donated items must be new. There are two boxes in the main lobby entrance for you to drop off your donations. All donations must be turned in by Tuesday December 20th.

Our Life Skills class celebrated Thanksgiving with an in school feast! Each student invited a special guest to attend the dinner and made a special pumpkin decoration as to why they are thankful for that person. As the napkin on the table reads, "Count your blessings every day"!

Tamarac YAC recently participated in the annual Polar Plunge in Lake George this past weekend. Tamarac YAC is our Youth Activation Committee which supports social inclusion for those with and without intellectual disabilities. This fundraiser raises money for the Special Olympics which is responsible for Unified Sports. These students and staff were definitely freezin' for a reason! #Tamarac

Congratulations to the Tamarac Clay Target Club for finishing the fall season in FIRST PLACE in their conference, competing against teams across New York State. Trap, one of the fastest growing and safest sports in the country, consists of shooting a flying clay disc travelling at speeds up to 50 mph. Clayton L. earned a hard-fought 1st place in conference out of all individual competitors, and the entire team ranked in the overall top 25. Great job!

The High School Modern Fiction Book Club had their first meeting yesterday. Mrs. Danckwerth and students read the synopsis of six books and voted on which book to read. The club will meet monthly to discuss the book and pick another...and of course there are snacks and coffee!





This week the Counseling Center presented information to our students about the Career & Technical Education Programs available through Questar III BOCES. The counselors will be in touch about the next visit opportunity to hear more about the programs.

There is no school tomorrow, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
