Perimeter fun! Our third graders were given shapes and a key card and had to use the perimeter of each shape to determine which pieces were the head, body, arms and legs of the robot. After they were finished assembling the robots, they went into the hall to compare shapes that had the same perimeter, but looked different, which was a great introduction to our next unit of area. The students loved it and were so proud of their robots!
