This is a reminder that on Friday November 8, 2024, we will conduct an emergency early release drill. All schools in New York State must complete an emergency early release drill, once per year, that requires schools to evacuate students and staff at least 15 minutes before their regular dismissal time. This drill helps prepare us in the case of an emergency that would require us to transport our entire district home or to another location prior to the end of the school day. For the secondary school, dismissal will be at 2 p.m. For the elementary school, all students taking the bus will be released/dismissed by 3:10 PM. We will start dismissal earlier for our aftercare and pick up students (around 3:00 PM).

They have washed and hung the items and will be tagging them and getting them on the Lost and Found website later this week and into the following week. If you feel that your child may have lost something already, please email a description of the item, your child's name and building your child is in to: sbowman@brunswickcsd.org and alang@brunswickcsd.org.

Student communication intern, Kaleigh Pucci, helped design this informational poster to spread the word about October being National Bullying Prevention Month. Safety needs are growing and technology is changing at unprecedented speeds. Brunswick CSD uses the STOPit app that allows individuals (students/staff/parents) to anonymously report safety, misconduct, or compliance concerns.

Deputy Loeper had a busy day today visiting our Tamarac students. He stopped in Mrs. Labshere's class to talk about digital safety. He later went to Mrs. Wyanski's class to discuss respect and kindness. We thank Deputy Loeper for taking on all aspects of what it means to be an SRO - an educator, mentor, hero, community liaison and enforcer.
